The combined companies recognised the need to upgrade their IT systems in order to improve performance and reliability along with enhancing the flow of information between TSS and its IT consultants. The current lack of transparency made monitoring foreseeable problems difficult which ultimately resulted in unacceptable down time.
Trilogy and TSS’ service provider implemented a virtualised infrastructure, providing a lower carbon footprint, greater manageability and flexible services deployment. This enables the three companies to run core administration and operational systems while offering business continuity and off-site disaster recovery. An IT Managed Services solution was then integrated providing infrastructure monitoring and support for all TSS’s servers, PCs, laptops, networking, storage and security. The Managed IT Service also provides TSS with experienced, qualified specialists to handle all IT hardware and software needs.
TSS now has transparency across the IT infrastructure with Trilogy’s edge/point portal. They are connected to Trilogy’s IT service desk ensuring every issue is visible and supported. A dedicated Trilogy team remotely monitors TSS’ network, servers and PCs to ensure applications are running at optimum levels. The IT Managed Services solution also conducts routine automated tasks including weekly patch management, service packs, spyware scan and disk defrag on every PC and laptop.
