St Francis Hospice (SFH) is a voluntary organisation which provides specialist palliative care for the people of north Dublin. SFH cared for 1,713 patients and their families in 2018. This represents a 6% increase on 2017, 11% on 2016 and 19% increase on 2015. SFH is celebrating 30 years of care in 2019.
Why did SFH upgrade?
St Francis Hospice knew things needed to change. Their IT was good, but out-dated. Their “reactive” IT service meant that when things went wrong, the team had to spend time fixing it which took time away from optimising patient care.
What are the benefits for SFH?
The proactive managed services solution from Trilogy means that the newly updated IT infrastructure and systems are continually monitored and managed. This prevents problems before they actually happen. The hospice team can rest easy knowing that resolutions occur before potential issues turn into emergencies.
Trilogy implemented a secure virtual private cloud to ensure that core applications and patient data are well protected. With Backup and Disaster Recovery as a Service, the organisation is secure in the knowledge that patient care will not be disrupted should an IT disaster happen. St Francis Hospice now has few management concerns in relation to its IT and full visibility to their environment is available via Trilogy’s edge/point portal, which also provides GDPR-compliant reporting. The Trilogy team takes care of it all.
