Zinopy implements secure VPN for Rockall

Challenge

Due to the nature of its work with banks and the need to handle sensitive and commercially confidential client files, Rockall Technologies needed a robust and reliable VPN to ensure data protection, while enabling its workers to securely access the network remotely. The existing system only allowed 5 people simultaneous access so the VPN needed to be capable of providing secure access to multiple authorised users at the same time.  It was also essential for Rockall to have high security due to the nature of its work with banks.

Solution

The previous SSL VPN provided Rockall staff with remote access to their virtual desktops and corporate network on the move. However, it raised a number of security challenges, particularly when considering the nature of Rockall’s work and the sensitivity of the data stored. Additionally, the VPN only allowed five users to access the network at one time. The company needed a solution capable of allowing access to multiple authorised users simultaneously.

Rockall turned to Zinopy to implement a new secure system. After evaluating a number of different security solutions, Swivel Secure authentication platform was selected. The combination of the Swivel authentication platform and PIN safe protocol provides Rockall with a proven solution. As it is tokenless, Swivel Secure mitigates the risks associated with physical tokens being lost or stolen and reduces the administrative requirements of the IT department in rolling out and managing a token-based system.

achievements

  • Multiple staff can connect to the corporate network from any location
  • High-speed access to secure network
  • High security credibility with customers
