Largo Foods needed to upgrade their ERP server infrastructure to meet the demands of a growing business. It was also clear that the company would need to upgrade their complete server farm over the next couple of years. To achieve this, the business needed to move to a virtualized disaster recovery solution capable of 24×7 system access and fail-over in the event of an interruption or disaster.
Following a detailed tendering process, Trilogy implemented a fully redundant virtual private cloud infrastructure based on IBM servers, storage and backup – building the infrastructure in VMware. Additional storage is configured on the virtual platform and is located in a separate data centre.
The SAN’s are connected via fibre optic backbone using the backup and replication features of VMware and provide Largo with continuous uptime while also addressing business continuity and disaster recovery. They also enable online replication and automated failover of Largo’s ERP system.
